Who are we?

Kirk’s Land Agents Limited was established by Rachel Kirk in August 2023. As a chartered surveyor and agricultural valuer with nearly 20 years experience, I have worked with all walks of life across the property sector. Starting out as a Harper Adams graduate working on a large traditional country estate, experience has since been gained across the rural sector for private and corporate land owners.

The Kirk family has a long history of working with the land and also with the City of Chester. Back in 1863, John Kirk moved to Rock Ferry, Wirral working as a market gardener. He bought The Nurseries in Littleton in the early 1900’s and the family nursery and florist business started. John’s wife, Lilly-Anne, opened a stall in Chester Market to sell the flowers and produce grown at the Nurseries. Kirk’s Florists were well-known for decking the large Chester hotels and Browns of Chester with floral bouquets, including creating the bouquet for the opening of the new King’s School by Her Majesty the Queen Mother in 1960 and the installation of the Christmas tree for the Chester Grosvenor in the early 1930’s, to name a couple. We continue the interest and remain today under the guise of a newly formed enterprise as Christmas Tree growers.
